Short-lived Shaders

Most of our progress this week was geared towards preparing for our AlphaFest submission. AlphaFest is an event where people can show off their games and projects - most of which are in early stages of development, hence the name. It's a good opportunity to get our game to playtesters and receive constructive feedback.


We've continued to improve the visual quality of our game, with shaders that give our game a more comic-book aesthetic. We've also added more sound effects and audio cues, in addition to the radio narration. However, some of these additions came at a price: The shader broke our game. We'll figure out how to reinstate it in a way that doesn't permanently plaster the world map over the game space...but in the meantime, we at least have screenshots to remember it fondly by.
